Absolute banger in paradise!! I came here with my family during my vacation in Maui and this was easily one of my favorite restaurants I've stumbled onto more recently. Once I arrived at the restaurant, the hostess had me place my order with them first before they seated me. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. It was a sleek, modern restaurant with a lot of windows and openings to the warm Hawaii air. Everyone that was at the restaurant seemed happy, both young adults and families came here. The food that we ordered truly was the center of attention. Because I was really hungry, I had the Poke Bowl, the Classic Loco Moco, and Nalu's Mai Tai. All of them were just as equally good as the other. The poke was easily one of the freshest raw fish I've ever had, and it tasted much better once I mixed it with the avocado and all the fresh ingredients that came along with it. I was still hungry so I got the Loco Moco. I love how I was able to choose how I wanted both my eggs and beef patty to be cooked, I personally got sunny side up and then medium rare, respectively. The portion and quality of the food were very high and I really wish I could come back here just to have it again. To top it all off, Nalu's Mai Tai has been the best cocktail I've ever had. It has a delicate balance between the alcohol and the sweetness of the drink, they added nut foam to the drink to make it sweeter. I could go on and on about this place but I'm going to end it with this: you have to give Nalu's South Shore Grill a try if you're ever in Maui. It's 100% guaranteed you'll enjoy your experience!

We were craving for some local food options at around 8 pm when most of the restaurants were about to get shut in Wailea area. A local recommended we try out the Nalu's which luckily for us was open till 10 pm. We get here and were surprised to see a queue of about 8-9 groups to get inside and we quickly joined. So the way it works here is - they make you order your entire food before you step in inside the restaurant. I politely checked with the hostess if I need to stand in a big queue again if I would like to add more food or an appetizer midway through the meal and to my shock the answer was - YES. So we ended up over ordering a bit to avoid a situation where we have to line up again for a bite midway through our meal. The food and drinks were good. Poke Bowl was infused with flavors and fresh poke. Lobster sandwich hit the mark. Ribs was delicious but meat quality could have been better. We didn't try the desserts.

I went there for a bite to eat. There was the local gay pride club making everyone put a gay pride sticker on. When I refused I was asked to leave. No big deal if you're gay, just don't try shoving it off on unsuspecting visitors. Good food, but crappy clubs.

Stop by for a plate! We got carry out for an easy dinner and it was so good. Our sandwiches came with super crispy homemade chips. The Cubano was pretty bomb considering we were in Maui lol. The straight up burger also hit. Definitely a local spot!

Place was Amazing I got it confused with another place we tried almost 11 years ago on the island... But not sad I got my memories wrong... this place was OFF THE CHAIN GOOD!!!!! I highly recommend if you're in Kihei or anywhere on the island of Maui, that you make one of your breakfasts here for your stay. Everything was tasty....

(+) Island Style Ribs w/ Respect (+) Fish & Green Bean Fries Nalu's south shore grill is a restaurant that has patio like seating and great eats. It is in a shopping plaza off of Kihei Road and found in the back of the parking lot. There are many food items to order so bringing the family with many food cravings will be easy for all to find something they would enjoy. Online ordering is available. Food: My wife and I shared the island style ribs and fish and chips. I loved the kalbi style ribs because of how tender the beef is and how flavorful it was. The meat fell off the bone and easy to eat. The mac salad was decent. I also enjoyed the jasmine brown rice that soaked up all the sauce. The beer battered mahi mahi was also crunchy and flavorful. The green bean fries are also amazing! You have to try them. Service/ambiance: Service was great and no complaints here. The ambiance is casual and easy going. Overall, I would recommend Nalu's if you're looking for a quick bite to eat that makes great food. I will definitely be back to try the other Hawaiian specialties.

Came here per recommendation from different friends who frequent Maui. Come to Nalu's they said. So we came to try it. Great recommendation! Lively atmosphere and fun place to hang. You can eat, drink and enjoy the live music. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We ordered: Fish and Green Bean Fries - the fish is Mahi Mahi. They were crispy and not greasy. The green beans were surprisingly good. I didn't know what to expect. Apple and Brie Burger - huge, meaty patty with an amazing combo of apple and Brie. Fries were good! Poke Bowl - fresh ahi tuna and the dressing and other ingredients were spot on. If in Maui, this is a great stop.

We were very surprised to have this find. Nalu's is a very great spot for happy hour! You order at the front before entering the restaurant which is unexpected, since it isn't stated until you get to the hostess stand where you order. A sign could be very helpful, along with menus scattered along the counter that is parallel to the line up area. The restaurant is completely open air with tables on the patio and many more tables inside. Classic Hawaiian vibe while being a nice sit down restaurant. The happy hour mai thais were phenomenal and very strong. The flavor was also very good with quality rums. The food was also VERY good. I got the Korean Bulgogi Burger which was out of this world! One of the best burgers I have ever had. My husband got the loco moco which was also good but not nearly as phenomenal as mine lol. Overall, wonderful drinks for happy hour and a great main menu for bites. Also has setup for live music which seemed to be just starting as we were leaving.

Unassuming spot with beach bar vibes, located on a strip mall. Great, hearty portions. Drinks - Mai Tai ($8.5 for HH, $10 normally) was so yummy. Food - Loco Moco ($15) - Large and delicious, though my sister commented the beef was a bit dry and it could have used more gravy. Chicken and Waffles ($18) - Can't go wrong with this. The fried chicken on top is in tender form, and the bacon was lovely, thick, and crispy fried. Mahi Mahi ($22) - I'd skip this compared to the other dishes. It's nice and light though Order at counter, then grab a seat. Staff is so cool and friendly too!

Delicious food and fun atmosphere. Very reasonable prices for Maui! We ordered the ribs and Apple Brie burger and enjoyed both!
